Marketing Director, Gables of Ojai

Hello my name is Kim Rapholz and I recently joined the team at The Gables of Ojai as the Marketing Director. A bit of background about myself and how I came to the Gables:

My family and I have lived in Ojai since 1991 and really enjoy the sense of community in the valley. I have been married since 1994 and have one husband, Steve, one daughter Berkley, who is in the 7th grade at Matilja Junior High School and one step-son Atlee, who is a senior at Camarillo High.

For most of my career I have been in the financial area, in banking or investments and insurance. I have spent the last 4 years working at a local bank in Ojai as a Customer Service and Financial Services Officer. Prior working at the bank I managed an investment and insurance firm in Santa Barbara, commuting from Ojai for over 10 years. As some of you recall the El Niño of 2000, when most of the roads and freeways were shut down, I got stranded in Ventura, with my 4 year old daughter in Ojai, I decided it was time to work where I live, in the Ojai Valley. After about 2 years at the local community bank it merged with a larger institution with a more corporate structure. After a time I decided it was time to move on and try something different with more personal growth opportunities, at that time the Gables of Ojai was looking for a Marketing Director and I was fortunate enough to be selected for the position.
