DK Crawford is a restaurant critic, food writer and photographer in Ventura County who originally comes from the bayou country of Southwestern Louisiana.

She is deeply passionate about all things food related; composting, gardening, soil building, farming, harvesting, cooking and canning.  She explores the sensual connection between humans and food both through her writings and her photographs.

DK is a longtime member of Slow Food and Southern Foodways Alliance.

Her most recent work appears in the VC Reporter, Ventana Monthly, Edible Ojai (PDF).
