If there is any one invention that I can single out as being the most profoundly powerful addition to my life, it would have to be the portable computer, specifically Apple's MacBook Pro. Armed with this sleek machine, I can work from virtually anywhere on Earth, on any project, at any time, across both the Mac and Windows platforms, on a single computer. This makes me very happy.

I co-own and operate a mutli-media/web firm with my wife Pausha. We specialize in building content-rich web sites for people in the "Creative Pro" market. We also help support this market by offering regular software workshops and one-on-one tutorials on computer-based creativity.

I'll be posting free tips, tricks, and lessons right from my classes on this blog for you to use in your own digital life. I hope you find these posts to be a helpful resource for you.

by Chris Foley November 11, 2008

Do you remember when CDs first came out? They were the coolest thing in the world, except for a few minor issues, like they didn’t really sound very good yet, or that they came in those ridiculous cardboard long-boxes, and only a very small selection of the music you wanted…

It really depends (naturally) on what you’re trying to do, but for all of the benefits online social…
