Supervisor Steve Bennett – Our Next US Congressman

by Kristofer Young on November 16, 2011

As Ventura’s Mayor, Bill Fulton said today, ‘Steve, whatever you need from me, I will do!’

Ventura County Supervisor Steve Bennett announced today that he is in the race to become our US Congressman for the new 26th district. When elected, he will in effect be replacing longtime incumbent Elton Gallegly, who currently represents (?) the 24th district.

I am so excited! This is a campaign I am onboard with!

I have met with and attempted to communicate with Congressman Gallegly on a number of occasions in the last 10 years. I welcome a change.

I have known and worked with Steve Bennett for years. I don’t know a more intelligent, hard-working, and honest person. Steve’s primary commitment is to the common good. He works, and will continue to work to improve our lives now, but always with care and consideration for the future, for our children, and for our children’s children.

I am with Mayor Fulton when I say, Steve, whatever you need me to do to make sure that you become our US Congressman in November of 2012, I will do!
