Naturalist Guided Walk on the Meadow
Naturalist Connor Jones will lead a nature walk on the Ojai Meadows Preserve on Sunday May 22 at 3:00 p.m. Jones is a permaculture teacher and a member of the Ojai Valley Defense Fund Advisory Committee. He will talk during the approximately one-hour-long walk about the hydrology and the plant and animal species that have returned or been replanted at the preserve. Jones will also discuss the Ojai Valley’s natural history and what could and should be done to promote the health of the plant and animal residents.
The Ojai Meadows Preserve main entrance is on the west side of Maricopa Highway 33 just a few yards north of Nordhoff High School in Ojai. Wear comfortable walking shoes and a sun protective hat. Participants should bring water for themselves as well. Dogs are permitted on a leash. There is no charge for this event sponsored by the Ojai Valley Defense Fund.
