Morning Walk Up the Horn Creek Canyon trail behind Thacher school ...

Sung by the Waters,

The Alders,

The Stone Elders ...

Many Faces of the Canyon, recognizing,

Returned Me,

Returned Thee.

Midst Scented Chaparral, Pine Trees,

Approaching 'Chief TopaTopa', "The Sisar", Sisa Village Divinity ...

This is one of my favorite trails. Way to get up to the pine grove, MT!

haku Tyler, maybe you can keep your ears open for the old Chumash naming of Horn Creek or Canyon, or any of the native placenames thereabout. perhaps 'Horn' is a translation of animal horn from the Chumash, or possibly the European 'Horn' as in Mountain. [or recent 19-20th century east-end settler family name?]
next week will plan on uploading a story about the 2nd half of the hike, to
'The Chief' ... (if I can sort through my 400-plus photos of the journey upon a deity!)
