Water is the big issue this week. There are many different water companies in this valley + all the private wells. The city should make certain that none of these companies or individuals are selling or exporting any of this water to sources outside of Ojai. Price caps are in order and better over-sight. The new price hike by Golden State should have prompted far more debate from the pitch fork community. Come on, Ojai!
Also, the fire hydrants appear to be the property and responsibility of the water companies. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think that they should be maintained and checked by the Fire Dept.
Glad to hear the the City is on the case, Suza. Thanks for the update.

To shift gears on this thread I have a bit of a rant (probably no surprises). When driving Creek rd or the 150 it is courteous to pull over to the shoulder to let traffic behind you pass. I know we all want to enjoy the Ojai valley slowly as the bumper sticker goes, but there are people that live here that have to commute for work and school. If you are not comfortable maintaining the posted speed limit please pull over to the shoulder in a safe place! It is not ok to speed up through the straightaways only to slam on your breaks at a curve or sharp turn.To not pull over and let people get on with their lives is selfish and discourteous. Thank You.
