the (ages long) flood, culminated around 10,000 BC, when the circum-Pacific 'Polynesian' civilization of Mu or Lemuria had to leave behind their sunken cities and temples and ports, and resettle the 'new' islands and coasts of, for example, Guatamala (the Olmecs) and the Channel Islands (the Canalino, Channel, People, or Chumash).

in California, for thousands and tens of thousands of years before, lived the aboriginal peoples known to the various academics (now) as the First Culture People, the Oak Grove Dwellers, Oak Grove People, Milling Stone Horizon culture, etc. (see Patricia Fry, Ojai Valley Illustrated History). it wasn't until about a thousand years ago, 1000 AD, that the Polynesian 'Chumash' people came to dominate the central coastal areas from modern day Malibu to Morro Bay, all the way inland thru Santa Ynez and to Mount Pinos and the San Fernando Valley.

and as they did slowly explore and populate the California mainland, from their Channel Islands homeland, they, like the 'current' and previous generations of aboriginal peoples, fell down on their knees, or stood in awe and fright, and gratitude and wonder, at the Landscape, the Burial Ground, the First Ones, the Momoloqika, the Sedimentary Mountains hundreds to thousands of meters high before them, raised-up from their once shell and carapace and vertabrae and bone remainders become the bottom of the Pacific Ocean ... raised up millions of years ago ... to become the ~now~ Center of the Earth, Hutash, Mount Pinos ... and (for the Matilija SiTopTopa Sisa Auwhay Valley) Chismahoo (Cismuhu) in the West, 'Chief Topa Topa' in the NorthEast, and a hundred other, and a thousand lessor, ancestor deities all around and between.

What names DID they give to these Mountain Deity/Effigies of the Old Ones? Which ONES were sculpted or 'carved' by the Ancient Aboriginal, and then Chumash, Peoples ... as they gathered in the hundreds or thousands on Mt Pinos, or Chismahoo, or Topa Topa, for Solstice and other ceremonies? What personas and stories can we resurrect from the Missionary-Obscured sacred Herstory, Songline, of the Landscape of Living Culture and Ancestry?
