From the Special Services Bureau / Narcotics Unit: Narcotics detectives recently concluded a 1-month investigation into methamphetamine sales occurring in the City of Ojai with the arrests of Larry Sledge (58) and Jodie Duran (53). Investigators received information that Sledge was selling methamphetamine from his residence in the 500 Block of East Oak St. Armed with a search warrant, detectives went to the Sledge residence and located approximately one-fourth ounce of methamphetamine, 2 ounces of marijuana, and 50 Valium pills. Sledge and Duran were arrested for possession of methamphetamine and marijuana for sale, and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. Both were booked into the Sheriff’s Main Jail.

Let me get this straight. Two people are arrested for dealing meth in Ojai and your immediate assumption is that the buyers must be from Meiner’s Oaks or Casitas Springs?
So the dealers live in the high rent district and their customers don’t?

I live in the area. there is so much bad stuff going on on the streets all around there. We now have empty houses on Oak that the rest of us are suspicious of people using them for illeagal purposes. I don’t care if it was only 1/4 ounce, let’s do all we can to help the sheriffs clean up Drown, Oak, Waite and Fulton; they need to be family streets not OSL and Meth dealer’s hang-outs.
