Las Fotos, de Dias de las Muertos ...

"De la Sierra Morena, Cielito lindo, vienen bajando,
Un par de ojitos negros, Cielito lindo, de contrabando ..."

a few of our photos from the finest music-fest, cultural-gathering, I have ever attended in this Ojai Valley. Dias de Los Muertos honors our ancestors ... as depicted in these family shrines, to Mothers and Fathers, Aunts and Uncles, Grandmothers and Grandfathers, past ...

and the song, Cielito Lindo, by Ana Gabriel ...
thank you Roberto and Angelica for this most loving/honoring of our families, of our family!

thanks for sharing, Millennium. Glad we were able to make it down for a bit. I liked how El Roblar was blocked off - it created a strong community feel.

Thanks for posting - and for the Spanish language. It would be great if we could have more of that here on the Post.

Beautiful event. So nice to be surrounded by so many neighbors. The music was awesome!!! Fun crafts, and a beautiful picture of my mask maker and her painted face, thank you for this memory!

Megumi and I really enjoyed Dia de los Muertos, and learned a lot. Probably the same tomorrow afternoon/evening at the Bear Dance Ceremony. Our world, our Valley, our family are learning, have evolved, embarked on a new/expanded gentility, awaken-ness, enlightenment. It is a great joy and wonder to quiet myself, too ... and to observe the SACRED community assembling, arising, singing all around us.
Blessings Suza, Sally, Katie, Tyler ... for the love, respect, patience, honoring, nurturing you have done to allow this (us!) to happen ...
