H1N1 Flu Clinic to be held in Ojai at Nordhoff High School

The Ventura County Public Health Department will be holding an H1N1 vaccine clinic, open to the public, at Nordhoff High School, 1401 Maricopa Highway, Ojai, on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Those who will be eligible to receive the vaccine, which is given at no charge, are the following groups: children from the ages of six months to 24-years of age; healthy household of infants under 6 months of age; pregnant women, and adults between the ages of 24 and 64-years of age who have high risk medical conditions, such as lung disease, diabetes and asthma. Also included are medical and health care personnel with direct patient contact.
People not included in these groups have been shown to be at low risk for serious illness from the H1N1 virus.
The novel H1N1 (swine) vaccine, is available for Ventura county residents only. Additional sites where the vaccine will be available can be found on the Health Care Agency website: www.vchca.org/H1N1.
