The primary topic of discussion was how to reduce the escalating costs of the project and re-energize the efforts to remove this obsolete dam. Project managers presented a new proposal that may provide a solution to the problem of managing the fine sediments trapped behind Matilija Dam.

Sorry to have to post on this thread ( all my posts get deleted otherwise)
But I’d like to give a special thanks to the group “Shades of Day” for backing out of the rock the trucks concert once they found out that it’s purpose is to put hard working truckers and their families out of business. Hopefully others will back out as well once they realize they are hurting families that live right here in Ojai and contribute to our local economy.

HIJACKED… Important thread here about Matilija Dam removal and river restoration project. BC save it for a the appropriate thread. Your topic is not the only one of concern for this valley.
People, please educate yourselves about about Matilija Dam removal. Whether the silt is stored and cap sealed or it’s allowed to return to the sea to replenish the shore has great impact on our watershed. Don’t know what watershed is,find out.
