Two things I want to comment on:
1) Disconcerting that prices at Farmer & the Cook seem to keep going up while they remain constant at Rainbow Bridge. Also, I heard, and maybe it’s rumor, that the employee discount there got cut from 20% to 5% which doesn’t even cover tax. I’d like to hear the reasoning behind this. To me, when in business, the people that work for you are your greatest resource and asset.
2) How many of you have used the new D-Spot wifi at the various places in town? Do you like it? I think it is cumbersome and that businesses who signed up did so prematurely. To me it’s a beta test I would rather see the city take on making free wifi hotspots in the valley without non-local companies providing clugey systems.The homepage for D-spot isn’t very user friendly and if I don’t download the toolbar (and sometimes even when I have) my internet browsing gets timed-out and interrupted. This is especially frustrating when I’m uploading website changes and get halted midstream.
Okay, nuff griping for now. Plenty of great stuff to talk about. Promises film today at Playhouse 4:30pm, concert at Womens Center 17th, Living Peace Day 19th, Taste of Ojai 19th, Pirates Faire 19th-26th, Rock the Trucks Oct.3 on and on and on
Hmmmm….Intersting that there is one OP author who has no self-editing button when insulting other authors and commenters, yet can’t take what he dishes out (note the deleted comments on his thread). So MT, shall we add being THIN SKINNED to your other personality shortcomings (egomania, delusions of grandeur, monumental rudeness, an extremely narrow field of vision, complete and utter lack of communication skills, etc. etc)?

I just checked three sites – CNN.com, MSNBC.com and Yahoo News, and all of them had it as a Top Story or latest news. You’re looking in the wrong place for a conspiracy, BC.
Well said MT. Know that what you have just said rings true with me. Your words are a breath of fresh air. Especially when these threads are dominated by the boring and predictable histrionics of Long Time Ojai Resident blow hard; the close-minded, self righteous and arrogant Princess Leigha; the angry, self-important, longwinded and naive SPK.
You can call MTs words violent but that does not make it so. It means that you are not able to handle criticism that is all.
Keep it coming MT, its nice to hear some articulate honesty.
