Ojai Music Festival – Annual Meeting

Artistic Director Thomas W. Morris re-caps successful 63rd Ojai Music Festival and presents updates on the 2010 season; award-winning journalist Doug McLennan is special guest speaker.
The Annual General Meeting of Ojai Festivals, Ltd. will be held on Saturday, September 12, at Suzanneís Cuisine in Ojai. An optional sit-down lunch will begin at 12:30 pm with the general meeting commencing at 1 pm.


On the agenda will be a re-cap of a successful 2008-2009 year for the Ojai Music Festival, the welcoming of the incoming slate of officers, and recognition of outgoing Board president Christine Drucker. In addition, the meeting will include an update on the Festivalís involvement with the Save the Libbey Bowl campaign.
A highlight of the meeting will be a presentation by Doug McLennan, founder and editor of ArtsJournal.com, the leading online arts digest for music, theatre, and visual arts. Mr. McLennan will be leading a discussion on the future of arts journalism, The meeting will conclude with Festival artistic director Thomas W. Morris sharing program updates of the 2010 Ojai Music Festival which will feature the Ojai debut of acclaimed British composer/conductor George Benjamin, a longtime pupil of Olivier Messiaen.
The incoming 2009-2010 Festival slate of officers will be president Esther Wachtell; vice presidents Jon Hogen and Judith Rosen; treasurer Thomas A. Munzig; and secretary Kathleen Drummy.
