DOCENTS DO DOWNTOWN OJAI — ON HISTORICAL WALKING TOURS
Contributor: Cricket Twichell
When Aunt Bertha from Bangor comes to visit, take her on an Ojai Valley Museum Guided Historical Walking Tour, and make sure you come too. This is a great way to learn about Ojai’s colorful past, get the skinny on our pioneer families, check out architectural highlights and gain a sense of what makes Ojai special.

The one-hour tours begin at the Ojai Valley Museum, 130 W. Ojai Avenue, at 10:30 am on Saturdays beginning October 31, 2009. A museum docent will be available to lead a walking tour of the downtown area. Docents Patty Fry, Trina Grantham, Bill Kindig, Cricket Twichell, Helen Peterson and Rose Boggs, are the local historians who will be sharing their Ojai stories with visitors and locals alike.
The cost is $8 for current museum members; $10 for non-members. For full information and reservations call the museum at (805) 640-1390.
