Oh, come on, the release is from the Film Festival and not from Brooks. Why would you accuse Lisa of being on the take? That’s absurd.

Brooks is expensive yes but they are an attribute to this area. This has the potential to add to Brook’s interest and Ojai’s.
Meanwhile Lisa on the take? She is one of the most ethical, toughly honest people I know.

George, your run-on sentence doesn’t even make sense. You specifically asked Lisa (with three question marks, no less!) if she is “gaining any benefit of plugging this institution.” That to me sounds like an accusation, and worthy of response.

It sounds like most of the events are moving out of Ojai to Brooks. Is that the case?
I guess that might be good for Ventura hotel & restaurant biz.
Good for petrol sales too. Any plans for a shuttle?

Better call, the website only has “coming soon” for the schedule and event information.

George, George, George. What would ever cause you to make such accusations towards either Lisa or Brooks? Obviously there is some deep personal cause for your anger and your inappropriate and untrue accusations. Perhaps some anger counseling would be beneficial? (???)

Thank you all for your comments, interest and questions regarding the Ojai-Ventura International Film Festival, celebrating its 10th anniversary year. This new partnership with the Brooks Institute is key to our continued growth so that the festival can continue to be a positive economic and cultural force in our communities. While the Festival will continue to be headquartered in Ojai, containing the majority of festival activities including opening and closing night celebrations, screenings and the golf tournament, Brooks Institute will be a great home in Ventura offering state-of-the-art facilities for screenings and panels as well as easy parking. We are working to make shuttles available for people to commute between the two cities for festival-related activities and would ask that potential shuttle sponsors contact the Festival’s executive offices.
Regarding the Festival website, the very nature of the festival demands that it be a work in progress right up until the event. Be assured that as details are finalized, we will be updating the website so that you can stay informed about all the great things coming online. You wouldn’t believe all the details that go into producing a festival (any volunteers?! :-) ). But we did set up a Facebook and Twitter page to help us share information a little easier – follow us here http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ojai-Ventura-International-Film-Festival/100140801502?ref=nf for real time updates!
Thanks for all of your input! Keep it coming!
David Shor, Chairman
