More Men of Ojai

The Council of Fabulousness will reconvene today to select models for the 2010 Men of Ojai calendar. Auditions will take place this afternoon from 2 to 4pm on the new patio of the Ojai Beverage Company, 655 E. Ojai Ave. Those who are interested should bring a recent photo. The calendar is being produced in partnership with Bret Bradigan, Attasalina Dews and myself. Shooting will take place between June 22 and August 1. The calendar will be unveiled Friday, October 16 at a gallery reception at the Ojai Valley Museum and will go on sale on Ojai Day, Saturday, October 17. Proceeds from the calendar sales will benefit local arts programs. For more information contact project manager Demitri Corbin at 805-603-0079 or email to demitri@pinkminute.com.

Evan in skin-tight jeans with a potato down the front! Yahhhoga!!!

that's just my normal attire, grannE! i think for this calendar they want something different...
:)

oh grannie and evan thanks much for that vision...my potato patch will never feel safe again!

SPK with the potato down the back!! but he always looks like that anyway...

Hmmmm...I admit I've been away for awhile, but correct me if I'm wrong - were there that many dick(s) around a few months ago?

Ha ha ha!!!

Really inspiring blog you've got here, Tyler. Well done.

Jock, does that mean you're interested...

I’m tempted to say “I rest my case!” but as I’m trying to turn over a new (fig) leaf, I’ll refrain….
:)

If I am back I will try out,but if it's nude you will need to have a fold out for me as I am African now.

Growing out your 'fro, eh Mario?

Demitri_ I think that you should do the "Real Men of Ojai..the Full Montgomery": such as John and Gene Long, Sea Fresh Gus, Alan Rains, Khalid, Dewayne Bocalli, Steve Sprinkel...maybe Tyler.

While I am honored to be included in such an esteemed (and august) group of men, you know that ain't gonna happen.

More Real Men:
Don Cluff of The Oaks, Marty Folk of Marty's Bakery, Lenny Roberts of OVNews, Scott Roland of Roland's Smog Check, Scott Eicher of CofC, David Mason of Village Florist... there are so many!

now your talkin...Jimmy Calire, Don Cardinali, Alan Thornhill....Krishnamurti, and Mark, who stands in front of the library all day.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We're in the early stages, so all suggestions will be taken into consideration. I'm very happy to see the excitement everyone is showing for the project. And Tyler, I will be giving you a call soon. Mario, hope to see you back home soon.

Leland Hammerschmitt! How could anyone forget to mention Leland? Maybe Howard Smith, too, coyly peeking out from behind the mudflap of a wrecked and rusting double-hopper gravel truck. Earth Fiend Gen could be featured as well, even though she's not a man. I mean, how could you leave out anyone who so fervently demands to be all nakey, all the time? How about featuring all of OSL on, say, the page for May? I mean, they think that they're all balls, so let's find out.

And what about our Mayor, Joe Devito and Ojai's native son, Steve Olson...a tasteful shot bathing in the Libbey Park fountain...

Don't even think about going to press without those two!

I snuck into today's casting call and got a great interview with Demitri about the calendar:

The open calls for the calendar brought out some very interesting candidates. But we are still searching, so if anyone has any serious candidates to consider, please let me know. Tyler, think about it.
