[City Recreation Director Dale] Sumersille hopes to go out to bid on the project this summer, with the Ojai Unified board taking action on the plan in May. On Wednesday, however, trustees said the plans were being presented to them for the first time and they voiced several concerns. While [Trustee Pauline] Mercado said she supported the skate park and thought the district should sign off on it being built, other board members said they had reservations. Among other things, they want the park to be supervised and a restroom built. Neither of those items are part of the plans, Sumersille said.
