So what’s going on, Ojai?
I’ve updated the Municipal Advisory Council page with a new agenda for next week, for those of you who have asked for more info and are interested in the MAC.
And another note, I am relaunching OjaiJobs.com, in partnership with the Ojai Chamber. Let me know what you think, and if you have any suggestions to make it of maximum value to the community.

Does anybody know how to find a copy of Section 5-11-05 (e) of the Municipal Code? That is the ordinance that the City Manager proposes to repeal.
It’s in Kenley’s post here:

And the direct link:

Hey Ty-
I think the town is in a lull.
It’s that damn DST thing.
I’m so resentful to “lose” an hour.
I’ll probably spend 6 months trying to find it…
well you guys just missed one heck of a highspeed chase in downtown ventura. several cops, some red car that looked like a ferrari? ambulance and cops with lights going on way, cops without lights on going the other — missed the guy turning off…just wild. I wonder what happened and what made the other two go the other way??
still no info on this chase! but I am emailing the Star to see if they know anything. meanwhile, there was a red ferrari that crashed in la I am wondering if it’s related? bizarre. Where do you find out about such things Tyler?
think i found it. from the star:
A wanted parolee was arrested in Ventura Tuesday night after he led police on a brief high-speed chase, authorities said.
The chase began at 9:43 p.m. when officers attempted to stop Thomas Young, 43, of Ventura for a traffic violation, police said.
Young allegedly failed to yield to officers’ lights and sirens then sped off through mid-town neighborhoods with officers in pursuit, police said.
Officers followed Young on Thompson Boulevard toward Five Points but abandoned the chase on Telegraph Road about three minutes later because Young was driving erratically at over 100 mph, making it unsafe for officers to continue following him, police said.
Minutes later, officers responding to a report of a traffic collision on Foothill Road at Cobblestone Street found Young running from his vehicle, which had hit a light pole, police said.
Authorities found a gun and an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine in the car, police said.
Young was arrested after police caught up with him on Foothill Road near Victoria Avenue.
He was treated at Ventura County Medical Center for minor injuries he sustained in the crash, then booked into Ventura County Jail on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a handgun, transporting meth, evading, resisting arrest and parole violations, police said.
No officers were injured during the chase.
that one was ALL yours, DK! thanks!
