Happy International Women's Day! Come to the VC Women's EXPO 3/13-15

Womensexpo_header small.JPG
Today is International Women’s Day, which has been observed since 1911 (just 9 years later, women in the U.S. were given the right to vote). This year’s theme, as designated by the U.N. (individual countries also develop their own themes) is “Women and men united to end violence against women and girls.”

A great way to honor and recognize women locally is to attend the Ventura County Women’s EXPO, taking place this weekend, March 13-15, at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. Fifty dynamic guest speakers will present on various topics over the three-day event, including health, relationships, career, finances and motherhood. The topic I am presenting is much less weighty and ambitious – I will be talking about local wines!

Enhancing the Women’s EXPO experience are exhibitors, authors, book signings, prizes and more (they even have a lounge).

“Your reason for attending Women’s EXPO may be professional, personal or both,” explains the EXPO’s producer, Beth Sutherland. “We want to allow women time to gather, explore, learn from one another, laugh, inspire and be inspired. When women gather, amazing things happen.”

Come celebrate the power of WE! If you want to attend the Women’s EXPO this weekend, I’ve got some free passes; just shoot me an email at findingojai@aol.com.
