On Friday, an Ojai resident moved to withdraw a guilty plea he entered last year to 23 felonies.
David Larry Gardner, 67, was scheduled to be sentenced in Ventura County Superior Court but decided to withdraw his plea to various charges, including trying to have three people murdered, burning down a local business, writing letters for the purpose of extortion and committing multiple counts of grand theft and forgery.
That sounds pretty bad. Until you get a load of his spy ninja arsenal.
Police executing two search warrants on June 24, 2004, and Aug. 30, 2005, found a small cache of weapons, including exploding bullets, sword canes, metal throwing stars, three rifles, three shotguns and four handguns.
