OK, stopped raining – I’m headed down to the Coffee Roasting Co. to get a little work done…

Thanks! Oddly that is not the first thing I’ve screamed when trying to avoid hitting bovine….
we had a touch of hail, touch of rain, then sunny skies again. this weather is WACKY! I was in Ojai Sunday and smelled roasting beans and felt such a wave of nostalgia!

I literally just finished the book Holy Cow, by Sarah MacDonald, about an Australian journalist’s love / hate relationship with India, her adopted country for several years while her husband was stationed there for the Australian Broadcasting Station. She muses about many things – the numerous religions that coexist (and sometimes clash) in the country, quirky Indian gurus and their (often quirkier) Western devotees, arranged marriages, the emerging middle class of Mumbai, numerous social taboos, sexism, exotic food, Bollywood, intolerable heat that can drive one batty and yes, even…holy cows!
Good read.
