State Of Emergency In Washington DC

DCSword.jpg

Soon to be ex-President Bush declared a state of emergency in the District of Columbia today and ordered the use of federal funds "for Barack Obama's inauguration".

Now we find out what those thousands of 'martial law' troops will be used for.

"An emergency exists in the District of Columbia," White House press secretary Dana Perino said in a statement.

In the next week, as many as 3 million people are expected to travel to the area from all over the world to see Barack Hussein Obama become the 44th president of the United States.

Perino said the federal aid was justified for "emergency protective measures that are undertaken to save lives and protect public health and safety" and will be used for security and transportation needs.

Streets are expected to close; only taxis will have access to bridges, and security will be tightened.

Six days and counting before the showdown between the forces of light and darkness ...

This has nothing to do with martial law and everything to do with a legislative measure to release funds. You will NOT see "thousands of 'martial law' troops" in DC for the inauguration.

I am quite fond of the Crouching Tiger Hidden District of Columbia mashup you've done, however...

a pleasure, Tyler,

and, regards the thousands of troops, that is what I am praying ... that we do not see them engaged in more violence ...

that, indeed, we have finally seen the end of the sick Bush/Cheney 'thingy' ...

ya'll never be rid a me.. wherever ya go, a'll be there in yer faces!

Hey MT - can you email me? I seem to not have a current email addy for you. Thanks! Tyler

Happy New America, everyone!

Is anyone interested in creating a New Community Garden at the "West Campus - Help of Ojai" site?

Seeds are waiting for good folks and good soil.

The area needs clearing and Blessing.

AUM......etc.

aho Sylvia,

we only have a modest garden/orchard program at West Campus at this time ... but have been trying to get the go-ahead for a significant community organic/permaculture garden for about a year.

we have the 501 (C) 3 organizational status, yet we still need a couple of more active 'sponsors' and gardeners for it to happen.

see you out there soon.

with and for all our relations,

Millennium

I think you are thinking like sukrat, but I think you should cover the other side of the topic in the post too...
