Sunday Talks at the Ojai Valley Museum

The Ojai Valley Museum will present two Sunday talks to accompany its current exhibit, “Sing Me A Story, Dance Me Home.”
The first talk will be on January 11th and will feature two exceptional speakers. Robert Lopez, prominent Ventura County archeologist will speak about the Ventura Mission Chumash Native Californians. Judith Vander, Ojai resident, composer, author and ethnomusicologist will present “Shoshone Ghost Dance Songs” which encompass the religion and culture of the Shoshone Plains Indians.
On January 18th, Julie Tumamait, respected Chumash elder, singer and storyteller will speak about the culture of the Chumash in the Ojai Valley.
The two hour talks will begin at 2 p.m. Seating is limited so call the museum at 805-640-1390 for reservations. Cost is $6 per person.
