Tyler…
Great shots, but where is the trail head? I don’t recognize this one.

This is a great hike. One of my favorite easy ones in the Valley. The meadow under the oaks is such an excellent place for a picnic with a few friends. Glad to see you posted this Tyler, I’ll stroll out this way in the near future thanks to your reminder.
Smythe, et al., here’s a link to the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy’s map of the trail head.

Chris – right on, nice link to the OVLC map. The loop is Rice Canyon and Wills Canyon combined.
I just put together an interactive trail map with the photos – hope this link works.

Sweet. I wanted to get out today but just stayed in the compound and enjoyed the first day of the year. These pictures top it off. Have a Happy New Year!

Thanks, Tyler & Chris…
Been there done that, good hike, just didn’t recognize it by that name…
How is crossing the river this time of year with the rains?

Tyler January 1, 2009 at 10:34 pm

Pretty easy to rock hop across the river, not so muddy on the trails.
