Green Coalition: Solar Night Slideshow

A comprehensive educational slideshow and general overview of the solar electric industry will be presented by the Ojai Valley Green Coalition’s Energy Committee on Feb 25, 7 pm at the Chaparral High School Auditorium, 414 E. Ojai Ave

A Q & A session will follow a panel discussion featuring local solar specialists who represent three different solar companies active in the Ojai Valley. The solar companies represented will be REC Solar, California Solar Electric, and California Solar.

Among the subjects to be discussed are understanding your electric bill, where grid power comes from, and why rates keep increasing. The audience will also learn how cells convert sunlight to electricity, what a solar system costs, and what federal or state incentives currently exist. Financing of a solar system for your home or business will be discussed. Attendees will also learn how to determine if they are a good candidate for solar power.
