The Ojai Post

Initially, after the neglected and starved horses were moved from Lockwood Valley to the Ojai Humane Society, there was an outpouring of donations and volunteers, but that has tapered off and interest seems to have waned. The problem is, the horses still need to eat and, since what goes in comes right back out, the volunteers need muck rakes to clean their areas. The Humane Society would appreciate either gifts of the hay bales themselves (Alfalfa) or the muck rakes, or gift certificates to the local feed stores, and they will get it themselves. Either way, help is still very much needed and would be greatly appreciated.
