Thank you for the posts on the 'curtain changes', yes we know it's been coming. But instead of getting caught up the the "the sky is falling world wide hysteria" many of us on the Kauai (which is where I am writing from) energy portal are trying to become of part of the solution which this radical evolution will usher in: the new Millennium and a better world. We are doing this by becoming totally present in the now and connecting with Akua (the Goddess, Source, Nature) on a constant basis, so we may be directed as to when and what each individual's part will be in the solution . And we stay connected with one another. We don't watch the news, some of us don't even have a TV. We don't read the paper. We stay grounded in the present for sanity will not come about by tracking every gruesome detail and hightening the mass hysteria, but by going within and becoming enlightened (in-light,-in-the-end) we will know when it is time and in that "now" we will each do our part and unite with others around the world who are doing the same. Templar, now is not the time to act or react. Now is the time to prepare oneself by making the changes within ourselves that need to be made, and gather strength and oil in our lamps for the light (clarity of mind and direction) we will need to have when the time to act arrives.

Laugh it up while you can. Obama is the next president--thank all the gods!

I object too, MT. I join my voice with yours. I believe you are speaking the Truth with the only language that fits the case: outrage. You describe the crime of crimes against the Holy of Holies. I believe that anyone who does not now go on record as opposing these sins against nature is an enabler and partially causing them to happen. I'll probably have more to say but I've been more or less out of touch with all news-liars for the last two-three days, trying to ground myself in Nature so I can see what is unnatural and heinous. However, as comment #6 put it in spiritual language, there is a bright side to all this. But to ignore the dark side and the speech thereof is to miss half of reality, or is it 98%. Anyway, I need to put in my 2 cents or is it 2 percents? Let it be noted in Ojai's herstorical record that in these dark times there were some who were aware of what was going down.

I just made the jump from e-reading at Meiners Oaks library to e-writing at the one here in Ojai. This thread is what interests me most; for me it has the most juice. Unfortunately, it is soon to slip off the front page and I don't have much luck retrieving threads from the archives.

"Oblama Bin Laughing" is intriguing but I'm not sure I'm plumbing the depth of the irony. The icon of course is the ascension of Jesus, which is a metaphor, not an historical fact; except for those of that belief (mistaken in my opinion).

Language is all metaphorical and is the basis for culture. The ascension metaphor is a powerful political statement which cuts deep into the unconscious. Jesus ascended to the Father, that supreme patriarchal authority figure. Patriarch means Father Principle or Father Rule or Penile Authority.

Jesus and Obama/Osama have this in common: they all support the idea of God as supreme authority. In our modern culture, or more properly cult, God equates to money. In the US, we even have "In God We Trust" printed on our money.

The present financial crisis in the patriarchal system illustrates the truth of Money as God. As MT points out, virtually no one is objecting to the systemic rule of money. Money has become more vital than blood.

I must offer a disclaimer. For most of my 68 years I could not see; I was blinded by the system. Now I am beginning to see more clearly. I am reporting my own experience, not pretending to be holier than thou, which was unfairly asserted towards an author on this thread. To accuse someone of this makes the accuser what he or she is accusing since it requires a holier or more whole vision to see that truth (if it indeed were the case which it is not).

I used to see with the eyes of my head. I now realize that is not the way to see holy or whole truth. It is the head trip of the patriarchal system. I was an arch-patriarch, a Catholic priest and a psychiatric nurse in the Veterans Administration for my two main careers. I have four degrees from the patriarch system. I bought and lost a house as many are now doing.

In order to see with the whole body, I have ever so gradually changed my habits which has cleared my consciousness. I have removed all my money from investments, I am vegan, I live in a garden, I do not keep pets or that consciousness, I use my only motor vehicle for living in; it is longer insured and I'll probably soon drop the registration.

I share this information, not to try to be holier than thou but to share information about why I see things so differently.

The money addiction is absolutely amazing to me. Look how almost everyone who is anyone is scrambing to save the system and of course their own money. Mother Nature is attempting to free us of our addiction and we clamp down even harder on what is killing us.

The Jesus ascension theme is appropriate because money is our deep religion. Jesus ascended to the patriarchal penis father who converted the Roman Empire for God's sake. The ascensionists are even now converting the whole world to Money as God, despite what the writers of the Jesus myth put in his mouth: "You cannot serve God and Money; you will love the one and hate the other."

We are so self-deficient that we look to our leaders to save us, lemminglike. These are the same ones who have lied and lied and lied. Satan is called the Father of Lies but that is pure projection by the patriarchal powers that be.

The patriarkill system is self-destructing and we are bent on saving it at any cost. Deep down we think that it will outlive this lifetime and that in some way we will take our money with us, because just dropping this body is not going to change our basic consciousness. No one knows what lies in the great unknown but everyone knows what rules in this known world: money.

It's all a pretense to stave off money-security anxiety. We're living in hell and we think it's the prelude to heaven. The truth is this system is totally screwed up and twisted. What we're seeing now is just the tip of the Titanic iceberg. We cry out: "Help! Save us, and our money." We put our fate in the hands of liars and thieves because they are authorities, and without our own authority, there is only pain and fear. It's too much to ask of a body.

And by the way, this is a local Ojai issue, for those of you urging Tyler to restrict discussion to local matters so you can effectively censure substantive global matters in favor of fluff. Sure, the gravel truck issue featured above, for example, is important to Ojai, but if you don't know it yet, trucks run on money; and the international moneyists are even now stealing your Ojai money and driving those trucks right up your Ojai assenue.

If you can't see it, don't blame me with your holier-than-thou know it allness. Blame the meat you eat, the pet you keep or the Patriarchal God you worship or the investment/divestment system you enable to prosper.

I'm not sorry for the sermon, either. I'm preaching to myself, the self I built for 68 years. You don't have to listen. I don't claim rightness, only freedom of speech; and that, friends, is a local Ojai issue, and belongs on the Ojai Post so don't try to censure me out of your life, just don't read what I write.

i thinking planting a 1,000 trees is such a wonderful thing to do....i don't know that much about trees, but i think i have a big one in my front yard cuz my daughter used to like to gather piles of them in her lil bucket when she was small. someone told me it's an Oak tree.....i didn't even know you could eat acorns till Millennium started the acorn discussion....
