OVYF says Get Ready Ojai!

by Tyler Suchman on September 10, 2008

The Ojai Valley Youth Foundation’s team of teens and their mentors are launching www.GetReadyOjai.com, an Ojai valley specific disaster-preparedness website that helps residents be prepared in case of disaster. Please join them for the launch celebration event on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. RSVP to 805-640-9555.
Big congrats for getting up a really nice, informative website that everyone can use to get more prepared, and make our community stronger.

(and a quick note – Lisa’s post below was our 500th on The Ojai Post. Thanks, everyone!)

not bad.
but I react to “Disasters are coming”.
Sounds like Millenium wrote it!!
Also- there is one important point i feel strongly about that was missed.
Everyone should know their neighbors- what their special skills and needs are.
Tyler- I would have forwarded this to the organization but there was no obvious link and since you are listed as a volunteer, i am sure you can relay these thoughts if you deem them appropriate.
