Ojai OK Drill Tomorrow

Matt interviews Paul Garth of Ojai Valley Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) regarding the Ojai OK Drill tomorrow, Wednesday, September 17th at 7:00 p.m.  Paul explains the drill and what you can do to be prepared in the event of an emergency.

On 9/17 at 7pm, post your OK sign in a front window and tune your AM dial to 1610.

This was Matt's first solo interview - wasn't he awesome?!  And what a timely and important subject!

I'm a big fan of what Paul Garth, CERT and all of the first responders are doing in the Ojai Valley. Thanks for posting!

Of course I thought it was great as I'm married to Matt and I work with Paul but it did inspire me to sign up for the 6 week (free) CERT training class starting next week. I've always wanted to learn how to prepare for a major emergency and I'm looking forward to taking this course and hopefully becoming a resource to my neighbors and friends in the Ojai Valley. Thanks Paul & Matt!

I just got the reverse 911 test call to my cell phone. Don't forget to put your OK signs up tonight by 7pm!

Yep, I received the call, and posted my OK sign as well...
how about a roll call - who else is on the list and posted their sign? (ok to be pseudonymous, folks!)

It seems that if you have an unlisted number you won't get the call.

Right, you have to register your unlisted numbers, cell phone numbers and VoIP numbers....

Thanks. The failure to read was mine. I registered.

So what happens during the drill if you don't have an "Ojai OK" sign? Do sheriffs come barging into your house?

No, but the Hyperbole Squad is on their way to your place as we speak.
