Ojai Music Festival Annual Meeting

PR - The Annual General Meeting of Ojai Festivals, Ltd. will be held on Saturday, October 4, at Azu Restaurant in Ojai. A buffet lunch will begin at 12:30 pm with the general meeting commencing at 1 pm.

On the agenda will be a re-cap of a successful 2007-2008 year for the Ojai Music Festival, the welcoming of the incoming slate of officers, and celebrating the completion of the Festival’s debt elimination campaign of raising $277,000. In addition, the Festival’s executive director Jeff Haydon will provide updates on the Festival’s involvement with the City of Ojai to help re-build the Libbey Bowl.

A highlight of the meeting will be a brief preview by artistic director Thomas W. Morris on the 63rd Ojai Music Festival, slated for June 11 to 14, 2009. The critically acclaimed chamber ensemble eighth blackbird is scheduled to lead as music director.

The 2008-09 Festival slate of officers is president Christine Drucker, PhD; vice presidents Esther Wachtell and Judith Rosen; treasurer Thomas A. Munzig; and secretary Kathleen Drummy.

The meeting’s agenda will also recognize new board members Don Anderson, NancyBell Coe, Sue Bienkowski, Donald Cosgrove, Bernard Greenberg, Sharon McNalley, and Patty Waltcher.
