Well, Brian, this has got to qualify as one of the most painfully obscure videos of all time. It's kind of like Ross Perot with his charts on steroids and without the personality. I have to wonder if you actually watched and absorbed this whole thing, or if you just like its basic theme, that Democrats are responsible for the current economic mess.

I strongly suspect that this video deserves a handful of Davy's Demerits, but there is no way to know because it is basically incomprehensible. Maybe there needs to be a new kind of demerit -- not for misstatements of fact, but for Obscure and Inflammatory Propaganda.

This is a bullet deliberately fired into the economy by men willing to exercise their ideology regardless of the cost to taxpayers. I didn't watch the video. Don't quite know how but I gather it blames the democrats and has music. If so, I'm in tune. I feel that the dems are the greater evil, sort of like Judas being worse than Peter in betrayal of truth. These folks just cannot tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth because they're on the payroll of the system.

I'll second comment #12. It is important that we do our own research for our own truth telling to ourselves, and then share it with others. Of course, no one is going to agree with us entirely and some will be completely opposed but we grow in the process. The truth will out and it may be up to each of us to let it out. Create a butterfly effect.

Come on Dennis, et al. Get it together here. This isn't rocket science. There have always been greedy pricks who try to steal everything from everybody else. It's called capitalism. Sure some of them have names like Rothschild and Morgan, but there's no such thing as a group of all-powerful masterminds behind the things that are happening in this country. There's plenty of other greed heads out hustling people with names you've never heard of, and they don't get their marching orders from Switzerland, or Israel or anywhere else for that matter.

Are you all just content to abdicate your duties as citizens. Does imagining some international cabal in charge of everything help assuage the guilt over doing nothing to bring our country back from the brink? Is this the type of thinking that you call critical thinking? Come on. Sure I disagree on a lot of issues with Obama. The thing is, this is a democracy if we choose to make it one. It is our job to pressure Obama and the Democrats in the direction we what them to go. They are not our leaders. We don't elect leaders. We elect representatives, and if we just sit back and spin fantasies about the New World Order, 9/11 Truth, armageddon and magical spiritual awakenings we cease to exist as a political entity. The greed heads and corporations would like nothing more then for us to retreat into cult like mysticisms and whispered, convoluted fantasies. In a political vacuum where the people abdicate their responsibilities, Obama and the Democrats will represent the other group in this country that is organized... corporations. But if we wake up and start agitating for the things we want, if we get a real political movement for peace and justice going in this country, then Obama will have to represent us. It's time to wake up.

spk, none of what you are saying explains how our representatives and even candidates can so consistently advocate against what we the voters make so clear that we want.

Fault those who reach for conspiracies and cabals when you can counter them with a more credible explanation of how, for example, Obama just embraced the so-called "bailout"? Or of why Obama, for example, promised his own version of expanded, endless and needless war in the "debate"? Polling shows a clear majority of people don't want more wars.

I don't believe its the "Rothschilds" and Swiss bankers either. But its clearly somebody besides the people, who have reliably and strongly demonstrated their views about things like the Iraq war, etc.

Until this year Rothschild's Bank Of America was the largest bank in the United States. It has been surpassed now by JP Morgan Chase, another Rothschild bank, which in March was given ownership of its rival Wall Street investment house Bear Stearns. All at US taxpayer expense. Then, last week, it was given ownership of the failing Washington Mutual bank, that nation's largest Savings and Loan.

Lehman Brothers, the other financial house collapse which shook the world, is apparently to be acquired by Rothschild Barclays PLC Bank in London, under the direction of the US bankruptcy court.

The total assets of the Rothschild financial empire now surpass 165 Trillion Pounds Sterling.

I just reread this thread. Sean, I appreciate your down to earth hard-headedness. I agree that the soft-headed fluff stuff actually enables hard-heartedness. But Anon right after you made a good point. Maybe theories such as the Rothchild one are wrong or at least grossly inflated. But do you have a reasonable alternative theory other than simple chaos and/or ignorance?

I watch with amusement and anger as the system scrambles even now as I type to save itself by screwing us yet again. They are going to bring the bailout back ASAP. Obama is clearly part of their camp. He has aligned himself with the financial elites and is funded by them. These are the psychopaths who are raping us!

Each of us has a hard choice which in a too simplistic way boils down to this: be enablers for the corrupt system or choose an alternative system. Also, note my qualification about even that. We can vote green, independent, libertarian, anything or none of the above. But voting for the forked tongue, doublecrossing, two-horned republicrat totalitarian party system means only one thing: we hope they are going to save our ass-ets. One thing is clear to me. Your voice is vital, as is everyone else's, in making the "clear choice" you refer to. We need truth and freedom. I realize that I am irritating as hell. But you have to go through hell to get to heaven. That's the truth the spiritual bypassers want to avoid. I sense that you are irritated by that hypocrisy. I am too.

I am not a fan of the Bible. I don't believe there ever was an his-storical person called Jesus. These are made up stories with a political putsch. However, they are powerful symbolic and even sacramental statements. We ignore the force of real religion to our peril. I for one, agree with the truth of the storical Jesus saying:

"THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE" because it's TRUE; not because any authority like Jesus or the Bible says so.
