City Council Special Joint Meeting Agenda Posted

The City Council will meet on Tuesday, August 19th in a special joint meeting with the Commissions on Planning and Parks & Recreation at 7:30pm, where the main agenda item is discussion of the Skate Park project. Full agenda can be read HERE.

Does this meeting mean the New Visions Group no longer wants
to prempt the skate park location with their theatre? Or that the school district is no longer selling it off? Great news if this is so. A lady wrote in recently she was staying at OV Inn and her
kids had nothing to do during their visit, and that she won't be returning with her family because the town is anti-kids.

Fact: A community garden has been behind the skateboard park since before the turn of the century (1999).
Fact: Expansion of the skate park would pave over 60% of the garden, and shut down the whole garden during construction.
Anyone out there still care about the Greening of downtown Ojai? If yes, then your voice must be heard at this time.
