Very cute.
Hey, who wants to talk about Smudge Pots on orchard property? We are next to an orchard and the gas fumes still weep from the multiple smudge pots next to the fence. Owner doesn’t want to hear about it. How toxic are they?
They used to just use diesel fuel. Diesel somehow manages to maintain its aroma for years, even after the liquid is gone — think old train yard, or Travel Town in Griffith Park.
I don’t think anyone has lit a smudge pot in Ojai since the late 80′s. You always knew when they did it, because the haze tended to hang at windshield height all over town.

This made me chuckle:

Does the Ojai Valley Green Coalition’s Waste Management committee need to look into smudge-pot recycling options?
oh oh …
Spotted on a pickup truck on El Roblar:
“Come to Ojai. See a Cop.”
If that is not Ojai 2008, I don’t know what is.
Nice shot. Is that bug giving me the bird?
