more:

1) Full Moon Bicycle Ride will be Monday evening, starting 7:30 pm from the Libby Fountain, Libby Park. We will proceed in a slow (noisy if possible, bring bells and whistles, etc.) 'roundabout fashion to the Coffee Connection on El Roblar, then to the Oak Grove Bicycle Recylery, then to Campus West, HELP Of Ojai, former Honor Farm ... arriving about 8:30 pm. Then 8:45 pm start slow ride back to central Ojai along the Bicycle/Pedestrian Trail ... probably winding up back at Libby Fountain about 9:30pm. Folks can come and go anywhere along the route.

2) We just held our formative meeting for the new Bicycle Recyclery/Coop at West Campus. Hope to have a clean-up day potluck party on Saturday, 31 May, and moving day on 21 June. Looking for additional bicycle mechanics and other volunteers, sponsors, etc. More info to come. Call me at 558-0858, or Campus West 649-9218.

o'kupu MT!!

"noisy if possible, bring bells and whistles, etc..."

Certainly a great way to to promote harmonE with residents who have to get up and go to work on Tues...

Making friends and furthering the cause -- GO MT!!

That sounds magical!

I hope you have it every Full Moon!

"Ojai's Magical Full Moon Bicycle Ride..."

My dream is for Ojai to have a car-free day and just once have families...all ages...young...old... come out and experience what Ojai would be like if it were bicycle-friendly! This could be such a magical bicycle/pedestrian friendly valley...that alone would attract thousands of visitors...all arriving without cars!

Maybe the time is getting closer to revisit the visions I had years ago...

Alas, reality is that I bicycled over to Star market and there was just one lonely bicycle parked in the one lonely rickety old bike rack that sits near only one entrance...just like ten years ago...but in Amsterdam...in Eugene, Oregon...I saw acres and acres of bicycles...

I was imagining a silent Full Moon Ride...bells at the beginning of the ride, while it's still early...just for fun...

CarFree Community Day, Ojai Peace Day?

Colourful -- Smiling! -- People and Families everywhere -- costume and music and song -- everyone showing off THEIR stories -- their lives -- non-commercial ...

block after block of festivities and theatre and learning and fun ... ceremony ... book-readings ... chi gong, yoga, stretching, laughing, being, connecting circles ...

listening hoop ... to the voice, wind, song, light, love of the Mountains and Creeks ... the Whole Valley ... She Goddess Moon ...

and We, Family 'Awha'y ...
