Global Village School to Host an Open House in Ojai

Global Village School, an international K-12 distance-learning program with a creative flexible approach and an emphasis on peace, justice, diversity, and sustainability, will be hosting an Open House for prospective families and interested community members on Saturday, May 10 from 1pm to 4pm at their new location at 207 N. Ventura St. in Ojai (the former location of Ojai Creates!”).

Global Village School is an accredited homeschool diploma program based in Ojai. Grounded in the belief that knowledge and understanding are the keys to a true global community, they offer a full diploma program and college preparatory classes that prepare students to be wise and capable stewards of the planet and each other.

Global Village offers online and text-based curriculum along with individualized teacher services. Curriculum is customized based on student interests, needs, and learning styles and integrates peace, justice, diversity, and sustainability themes with the core subjects. In addition, high school students choose from courses such as Planetary Stewardship, Reflections on Peacemaking, The Buddhist Path to Peace, Global Spirituality and Activism, International Human Rights, and Literature of Diversity.

Come and visit their new offices, meet the staff, listen to live music, enjoy some refreshments, and see for yourself some of the unique programs the school has to offer!
