8/8/08 and Year 2008 of Global Enlightenment
continued from Year 2008 Of Global Enlightenment
Who is the Maitreyah?
And Who is the Maitr-Awhay?

She, Goddess Moon, the guiding spirit of the Ojai Valley.
And She, Mother Humanity -- the Global Body of spirit, personality, mindedness -- who now speaks for our Whole World, Entire Planet, of culture, language, ancestry, being ...
Becoming.
~~
She whom, with most infinitesimal voice I sing ...
And seven billion equally colourful voices joining ...
Sings us, Yahdi and 'Awha'y, as WE are named in the Middle East,
and the 'Far West' ...
In repertoire, rapport-twining ...
Question and answer, Song and response ...
Building refining enlightening us in each day!

Thank you, Millennium, for posting this beautiful bird!
Does this bird live in our nest?
We love lying in the sun, on the soft earth, listening to the birds sing. It uplifts our spirit and helps us to cope with the dark side of life.
We wish that all our brothers and sisters trapped in factory farm cages could hear the joyful sounds of birds and feel the warmth of the sun, before they leave this Earth.

In Korea we still pray to the spirits.
http://www.answers.com/topic/korean-shamanism
http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/07/06/news/shaman.php
Korean shamanism encompasses a variety of indigenous beliefs and practices that have been influenced by Buddhism and Taoism. In contemporary Korean, shamanism is known as muism and a shaman is known as a mudang. The role of the mudang priestess is to act as intercessors between the spirit world and human beings.
Shamans, most of whom are women, are enlisted by those who want the help of the spirit world. Shamans hold 'gut', or services, in order to gain good fortune for clients, cure illnesses by exorcising evil spirits, or propitiate local or village gods. Such services are also held to guide the spirit of a deceased person to heaven.
Koreans, like other East Asians, have traditionally been eclectic rather than exclusive in their religious commitments. Their religious outlook has not been conditioned by a single, exclusive faith but by a combination of indigenous beliefs and creeds imported into Korea. Therefore, although the overwhelming majority of South Koreans who profess a religion consider themselves either Buddhists or Christians, many still turn to the old folk traditions of muism.
Even though participation in Korean shamanism is not as widespread as it once was, the practices are kept alive. In the past such shamanistic rites have included as agricultural rites, such as prayers for abundant harvest. With a shift away from agriculture in modern Korea this has largely been lost.
Korean shamanism is distinguished by its seeking to solve human problems through a meeting of humanity and the spirits. This can be seen clearly in the various types of gut that are still widely observed.
Often a woman will become a shaman very reluctantly -- after experiencing a severe physical or mental illness that indicates "possession" by a spirit. Such possession allegedly can be cured only through performance of a gut. Once a shaman is established in her profession, she usually can make a good living.
Korean shamans are similar in many ways to those found in Siberia, Mongolia, and Manchuria. They also resemble the Yuta found on the Ryukyu Islands, in Japan. Cheju Island is also a center of shamanism.

thank YOU Chosang!
am doing a search on Muism, Korean animism, now!
and, though I have been writing about the Matrifocal Priestess Culture of the RyuKyu islands for several years now ... I never before NOTICED that the islands are named for the most ancient (Stone Age?) Dragon Goddess of Japan and China, Ryu or Yu!
and, Dvorah, here are the 42 Laws of Maat, which you may have read before. [Translated from the 42 Negative Confessions on the Papyrus of Ani dated to about 1500 BC. The 42 Laws were from Goddess Maat Judgement verses "of great antiquity" which were trendy at that time (1500 BC) with the Eqyptian aristocracy, who carved them in hieroglyphs on their tombs.]
This is clearly the (Year 2008) time and place for them to resurface ... a recipe for the end of [21st Century aristocracy-orchestrated] consumer violence:
'Transgressions' Against the Divine:

local enlightenment --
http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-chumash20apr20,0,3330828.story
"A generation ago, the ancient Chumash tongue of Samala was all but dead, its songs and sagas buried in a university basement beneath mountains of yellowing research notes.
But now Samala is the talk of the reservation.
Thanks largely to a non-American Indian graduate student who was working for pocket money 40 years ago, the tribe has unveiled the first major Samala dictionary, a key moment in the language's rebirth.
At a lavish event in the Chumash casino's concert hall Friday night, most of the tribe's 150 enrolled members lined up for copies of the long-awaited 608-page book.
"This is awesome," said Nakia Zavalla, the 33-year-old cultural director for the Santa Ynez band of the Chumash, handling the volume as gingerly as a sacred text. "We won't have to constantly go searching for our culture -- now it's right here."
The dictionary's 4,000 entries sound as foreign to most of the tribe members as they were familiar to their ancestors. It's a tough language for English speakers, filled with sharp interruptions called glottal stops. Some words don't quite roll off the tongue -- qalpsik is to braid the hair tight -- and more than 100 prefixes can dramatically change the meaning of verbs."

and haku Frog Woman!!
is that Cane Grass you are wearing?
seems they are drinking too much of your brown 'water' this morning at the Chumash Casino ... as they just told me that schools and libraries and individuals are NOT permitted to purchase the book via email or telephone, but rather we must drive to the Casino in Santa Ynez to buy the book directly from their Casino Gift Store.

Namaste Ojai!
Today is AdiShankaracharya' s Jayanti (birthday), in Treta Yuga, Dattatreya -- in Dwapara, Sage Vyasa -- in Kaliyuga, Adi Sankara is considered as an AdiGuru.
Today is Akashya Tritya... when Sun and Moon exalted in shukla paksha .... the 3rd tithi (lunar day) in the shukla paksha (waxing fortnight) of the lunar month of Vaisakha. This is supposed to be the day when Ganga came to earth. This is the day when Parasurama was born. This is the day when Treta yuga started. Today is supposed to be a very auspicious day.
Any prayer or meditation or homam or spiritual practice performed today is supposed to be many times more powerful than on any normal day. Akshaya literally means "imperishable" , i.e. in large supply. The fruits of spiritual karmas of today will be very large and that is why the name "akshaya".
In fact, the next 12 days are very auspicious for spiritual practices. It is believed that some divine energy hovers above earth during this time and prayers can yield results faster. The 5th tithi (panchami), which starts tomorrow afternoon and goes into Thursday, is known as Rishi Panchami and is a good day. I am sharing the information so your 2008 prophecy reading may take advantage of Akshaya Triteeya.
