Thank you, Tyler, for posting this!
I never get tired of watching the lion hugging the human!

Why do humans think this lion is happy in a cage just b/c he's "hugging" the only other creature who is going to provide a food source? Plus the lion is rubbing/scenting all over the guy saying, "You're mine." I hope he's with other great animals like himself, at the very least.

Good point Kate! I totally agree. There is a video clip about a lion that was adopted by two young men as a cub. (Doesn't say where they got the cub.) As it grew into adulthood the authorities said they had to get rid of it so they brought it to a wildlife reserve in Africa where it is protected and has lots of space. They were told that the lion would not recognize them after a year...but time went by and when the men returned to see him you can tell by the happy reunion that the lion never forgot them...

"Please Consider The Environment Before Printing This Email"
I must be really out of touch, because the first I had heard of this trend was yesterday when it appeared at the bottom of an email from a co-worker. It had a great little logo of a tree attached. What a great idea!
I have added it to my email signature because I send a lot of mail to people who I know aren’t as concerned (or knowledgeable) about “doing their part” as I wish they would be, so maybe this will be a good little nudge.
(Someone pointed out the advice not to put it so low on your email that it requires an extra page all by itself if and when a recipient does print my email out.)

Lisa, thanks to the link you posted above, I found a video that tells more about the story of Christian the Lion. It explains that the other lions also accepted the two men who were his "family." So amazing and beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes.

Yo gizzly gal!
I will check out "Grizzly Man" -- soon as I finish my taxes!
Yes, there is a Lioness Pose in yoga! When a Yogini practices the Lion Pose, it is really the Lioness Pose!

Grizzly Man - the movie? I think someone may be having you on, Suza. :) Interesting documentary to watch...very, very sad and a completely senseless death. I'mot a big fan of what Timothy Treadwell was trying to do. Maybe he had good intentions - but, in my opinion, ultimately he proved to be very misguided - and unfortunately, he paid a very steep price.
