Open Housing Thread
Let's try this thread as a classified ad section meets information hub. Feel free to post on seeking or offering living situations, sharing land, etc. Do you know of a room or back house or tipi or yurt that needs occupying? What's out there in greater Ojai?

Coldwell Banker maintains a really good Ojai Rental List, updated on Fridays I believe...

I saw a little house for rent on Summer Street today, just an address or two east of Cañada on the north side of the street. No price listed, but the sign did say "No smoking/No pets". I know it was for rent about 3 years ago, too.

I have an area in a natural growth area that is not being used. There is no running water or toilet facilities however.

Great family seeking year round rental - Ojai - center of town.
Artist and Homeopath and their 2 children seek 3 or 4 bed / 2 bath home + garden. Studio and/or office space would be an advantage.
Mid July 08 for one or two years.
Relocating from Europe. Excellent references.
We have really enjoyed reading "the post" over the last few months. Looking forward to our move and settling in. Any advice/comments/suggestions on housing or other topics most welcome. thanks.

it seems to me that one of the greenest things we can do is sharing living resources.
i am not talking about 'communal living'. been there, done that. i have some money and would like to share land, build my own small, green house, and share gardening, tools, chores, etc.
ventura county seems very behind the times and non-progressive. does anyone know tricks to get around the county zoning restrictions?
anyone interested in seriously pursuing what i call cooperative living, by actually putting in some resources and not just camping out in yurts?
thanks.
