This is one of THE MOST amazing and beautiful things I have EVER SEEN in my ENTIRE LIFE!!
You absolutely have to watch every stroke from start to finish!
I saw this a couple weeks ago. Wonder-filled.
Have you seen this one?
Dolphin Rings

where’s the outcry??
do y’all realize the poking and prodding it took to turn this poor elefant into a picasso wannabe?
the positive and negative operant conditioning? (B.F. Skinner is laffing in his grave)
this magnificent creature has been turned into a kindergarten doodler?
i will never be able to look at an elephant again and see anything other than a budding art neophyte.
you have ruined my day!!
Dear Elephant Man,
You are the poster child for the ignorance of humanity.
Any human with an ounce of perception could see that no quantity of operant conditioning on Earth could produce such a result as that Elephant’s art work.
Your stubborn persistence in seeing in such terms is the ultimate tribute to the self-serving arrogance of mankind.
Dear David,
If you knew anything about elephants, you could look right into its soul and see the immense suffering it has undergone learning to paint.
Also from the size of the elephant compared to the flower you can tell this particular elephant suffers from very low self-esteem and probably a calcium deficiency.
I asked our pet psychic and this is what she said about this particular elephant:
“Don’t they know I will never forget what THEY have done to me. I uses to roam wild and free, rolling around in dung and dust.
Now they have me trained like a circus monkey and I am about to have a cow”.
I Googled “Elephant paints self-portrait” and read the comments from people who share your concerns about the welfare of the elephants and also comments from people who have actually witnessed the elephants painting. It would be worth researching the whole story before forming an opinion either way.
Also Google “how do elephants learn to paint.” The articles (and books)are quite amazing!
3 elephant painting “movements”
1. early “dumbo-ism”
2. abstract “trunk-ism”
3. mega “elephant-iasis”
most of these elephants went to Tusk-egee Institute!!
