Thank you SO much for such a warm welcome! The cockles of my little heart are very warmed -- I so appreciate it. :-) Made my day.

Suza -- I'd be utterly delighted to post the beginnings of my meanderings about the process with our house (I especially like this idea because I can actually post something promptly that's already written -- I love this!).

I have a couple of entries done in an intermittent, but ongoing attempt to capture what the process of working on our house has been like -- am delighted to share them as they emerge if they feel interesting to people.

Hi Leigh, Just to give you a little nudge to post something original, the story that struck me began with this:
"My husband and I are in the process of finishing renovations on one house and contemplating a move to another."

Close to the end you confessed, "Thus we entered the era of the carefully placed throw rugs."

I so related to that and thought it was a great piece of original writing. Brenda Ueland (my favorite writing guru) would approve!
