HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A DISCIPLINED NON-CONFORMIST! UNLIKELY!
The hope of a secure and livable world DOES NOT lie with disciplined nonconformists who are dedicated to justice, peace and brotherhood, contrary to what Martin Luther King Jr.said, (Personally, I rarely meet a disciplined non-conformist, most of them live in a tent!)
A "secure and livable world" lies in people accepting and forgiving each other and having some clue of what that means. Social change has brought some relief but the misery continues individually. People basically can't forgive or accept themselves or others. They blame themselves for their own mistakes and then they blame other's for their mistakes. We continue to end up with a bunch of miserable, unhappy people pointing fingers at each other! My solution? Be Happy with yourself, and everyone else on this earth (including our adorable creatures of all shapes and sizes) have a chance.

Dvorah,
Might I suggest you discipline yourself and become just a tad less prolific here?

Discipline, unfortunately is not my nature - LOVE IS! I'm one of those idiotic non-conformists that lives in a tent! Skip over my articles, grumble and mumble about them and they'll only bug you until something else does. My favorite expression is MOST - which is a big MORE! BTW - Dvorahji's going on vacation soon - you'll get a breather! REALLY!

Can we agree that we all speak from our own experiences?
Speaking from personal experience, the most non conforming people I've known--people who were leaders and pioneers in their field --are also the most disciplined.

Thanks for mentioning that, Lisa, I never saw your comment and do not know how it got deleted. Please resubmit. Anyway, I agree that some of these posts by Divorah seem more suited for the comments thread.
In my opinion, conformists and noncomformists are different sides of the same coin. Independent thinkers, though, are an entirely different animal.

Good point Mike!
I had in mind "independent thinkers" when I mentioned "disciplined non conformists."

Hi Devorah,
You're a riot! Lately I'd been stressing over the Ashtavakra Gita tapes, and your videos made me lighten up and "get happy" again. Hope to meet you one day.
