this transcendent spirit ... this child ...
this global hoop of song ...
this 'we'.

that only some months ago, less than a 'year'
of spiritual 'measure', memory ...
was still drowning in the dark,
pulling her way out of those depths,
crying out at the 'mise-ery' & 'deception' ...
praying for the return of harmony ...
...
..
.
and now, approaching the cusp, the summit,
of 'Chinese' New Year's -- the Lunar 'Year' ...
and she/we are born up on the surface of HER waters,
and, again, we are all revealed in the light, changed ...
smiling even, understanding that we ARE,
together ...
.
..
...
all truths revealed, in our collective WHOLE mind,
of this Grid, this global Field, this planetwide-connected
consciousness, dialog, community ...
still following the 'courses' of our individual rivers,
our legacies, our ancestries ...
yet now all secrets revealed, all purposes public,
and each and every of those rivers acknowledging ...
that we ARE coming together,
we ARE one great ocean,
and SHE is spirit, Mother Earth, Divine Nature,
which we know as life, all our sacred relations.
this epiphany, this episong, this Ganges ...
which will be known throughout herstory ...
as Twenty-Oh-Eight,
simply 2008
...
..
.

MT-
I'm surprised you are not taking glee in the economic recession, the recent finding that antidepressants don't work (in other words we are ALL walking around even more severely depressed than we can imagine) and the current overriding cultural obsession with pre-Superbowl gorging and MMA (mixed martial arts)
Are you losing your edge?

Thank you M. You bring forward the words that are in the silence that rests between the notes.

Five stars for the photo.
Two stars for the "poetry."

Good morning Millennium, Happy Full Moon! Can you tell us more about this amazing photograph? Are those psychedelic colors real or enhanced? Where was the photo taken? It's beautiful but I'm wondering if the colors are due to some pollution of the atmosphere...like when oil spills on water or a plane streaks across the sky...Thanks!

What a georgeous photo, Milli T.! And your poem for the New Year/1st Moon is enchanting...however, please caption and credit the photo; it's only fair to both viewers AND the photographer (if no credit is given where you found it, tell us where you found it) All photographers/digital artists deserve credit even if it was freely shared.

kittyteacher should not be confused with kittykat..... there is no connection whatsoever, apart from her appropriation of a portion of my name....

i just noticed the photo is encoded as "Varanasi-Ganges".
So one might assume it is taken of that sacred river
"From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
More than 400 million people live along the Ganges River. An estimated 60,000 persons ritually bathe daily in the river, which is considered holy by Indians. In the Hindu religion it is said to flow from the hair of the god Shiva. The spiritual and religious significance could be compared to what the Nile river meant to the ancient Egyptians. While the Ganges may be considered holy, there are some problems associated with the ecology. It is filled with chemical wastes, sewage and even the remains of human and animal corpses which carry major health risks by either direct bathing in the water (e.g.: Bilharziasis infection), or by drinking the highly contaminated water (the Fecal-oral route).'"

I am really excited about 2008 too..
o'er what I see
and what we do
5 times so far,
in 5 different places,
each with the same message,
though different expressions
so sacred this moment
so honored this time
that we get to bear witness
that we get to see the fruits of our labor
of Love
Beautiful song Millennium
and in the end we'll all be dancing...

Year 2008: Wu Zi, Year of Yang Brown Earth
Another year of unbounded change. New (and old) ideas, if resonant with the Earth and global community, will blossom. The other, older, inconsiderate paths are literally full of thorns. They are tended by deceptive people who will take advantate of you, with (perhaps) insufficient strength still from family or mentors to rescue you. As we shed our old rigidity and adapt to the economic events that unfold many of us will take up or create new jobs and local economic associations. Make full use of these 13 months of historical evolution to unfold your personal artistry and spiritual being. Make new friends and relationships and learn new languages and trades. Plant gardens and fruit trees and expand your roots and your health. Consider this as a once in a lifetime window to grow and discover without limits. At work you can display the statue of Frog-on-Elephant or Monkey-on-Elephant in the North to root your new self and relations. Look to mentor KuanKung and insulate yourself and family from politics and gangs, and carry a set of 3 Rising Dragon Goddess Coins for unlimited success. New community enterprises may install the statue of the Green Tara for overcoming the old-boy-world obstacles, and display the exclusive Sacred Geometry Yantra focused on solving Community Problems, and carry the Fortune Flower Coins for the much needed nurturing of the balancing Yin.

haku Maureen, Lynn,
this Year 2008 will complete the turning for those whose characters are conscious and caring ... back to nature, family and community ...
a Year of the Mouse/Rat, as the political/corporate 'church' civilization reaches its zenith of corruption and disintegration ... and the unraveling of all institutions of dogma, deceit and disease becomes a runaway nuclear fire ...
when, again, those who carry the message of respect -- the global elders -- of our planetwide ancestors -- reach concordance on the tapestry of our returning to paths of life, the sacred ways.
whose foundation, hoop of celebration, may be completed in the Years 2011 or 2012 (Rabbit, Dragon) ... the (first) totality to be touched/experienced in 2014 or 2015, the Years of Horse and Sheep/Goat.
the spirit-web, ethical constitution, of the Divine Mother ...
realized global community of all our sacred relations.

El Anonima,
It pleases me that Mil ignores your provocations - you appear scornful and disingenuous. It seems like you are leaving a digital legacy of crotchety sniffs. I suggest you find a healthy way to brighten your mood.
Thanks for sharing Mil.

Dearly Beloved Spazz--
it would appear that I am not the only one Mil ignores.
Unless he replied privately, there were several folks who asked about the photo he posted, even to the point of suggesting he "plagiarized" (my word) the photo.
I just have a hard time believing anything he says and hear it as largely delusional hyper new age jibberish and it seems totally self-serving, although he seems to have successfully co-opted some of the "looser" minds among us.
Well I'm off to see 3D Imax U2- Bono, the Edge and crew- Larry and Adam at 40 feet.
STOKED!!!
