Obama to Appear Tomorrow in SB

Tomorrow morning Barack Obama, on his way to a fund-raiser in Goleta, is scheduled to make an appearance at Santa Barbara City College, starting at 10:30. See him speak in the morning and you can save yourself the $2300 you would have had to spend to see him in the evening in Oprah Winfrey's "meadow." -- or the $25,000 you would have had to spend to mingle with him inside. Or the $50,000 you would have had to spend to actually sit down to dinner with him.

But those of us without the big bucks will miss Little Stevie Wonder, who will be performing. Dang.

Thanks! That "meadow" link was a big help. Now I know what to wear to Oprah's Party --the black linen pants I bought at Hattie's with my white linen shirt from Kindred Spirit...

Suza- don't forget your Crocs...
red ones would probably go well with your black and whites...

Good idea! For this I will throw my vegan principles by the wayside and toss in a matching red handbag with a subtle blue patriotic clasp .

I attended this rally. Note I said rally, not picnic. ;-) I arrived a skeptic and departed a supporter. Obama presented himself as a statesman, vice a politician. As well, the potential of facing 32 years of Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton is reason enough for me to open my mind to another candidate. Our 'leadership' is starting to sound like a Dynasty, not a Democracy. Peace! ~Rae the Elven~
