Another movie option locally at 4:30: The Real Dirt on Farmer John!

I'm one of those 'bad' folks who was able to download a copy off the internet a couple weeks ago (it was only available for a brief time). Good movie, but a little depressing. We are such an ass-backwards country sometimes, but it is still home.

I hope that Michael Moore is successful in moving this discussion forward and have some real policy change.

you're probably on your way back from it by now, but i saw it last night with about half an auditorium of other folks. this is, i think - and the reviews have already reflected this - Moore's best documentary work so far, in terms of telling a compelling story about a universally important issue, without slamming anyone in particular. except, of course, all of ourselves. why are we literally one of the last "developed" countries in the WORLD to figure out that our humans have a right to health care? why do we unquestioningly support such State-governed infrastructure as fire services, police, postal service, librarians, etc...but somehow our health isnt part of that?

Former British MP Tony Benn's quote keeps ringing in my head: "An educated, healthy, and confident population is very difficult to control."
look around you at how many americans are ignorant, sick, and down-trodden...and then begin to wonder who benefits from that.
