FREE "Peace & Love" Concert Tonight!

The Ojai Peace Coalition and Symphony of Life Spiritual Center are hosting a FREE "Peace & Love" concert and potluck dessert TONIGHT from 7-9pm at the Ojai Women's Club, 441 East Ojai Avenue.

The Symphony of Life house band will headline, with guest appearances by other local artists! There will also be a raffle of art and other goodies.

This concert is to close the Season for Nonviolence (ended yesterday, the anniversary of MLK's death) and to simply celebrate our commitments to peace. Bring friends, family, and dessert!

You super yoga lefties with your notions of peace are really just passive-aggressive blogger geeks starved for attention.

And who's the pot calling the kettle starved?

GREAT CONCERT!

Jessie and i got in after 10pm from the rollicking (yes, i just used that word) “Peace & Love” celebration at the Ojai Women’s Center. The Ojai Peace Coalition cosponsored it with the generous and talented Symphony of Life Spiritual Center, which provided the headlining band, venue, sound and video technicians, set-up and clean-up crew, and most of the crowd. MUCH GRATITUDE to all for their joyful giving!

The OPC provided some goodies for the raffle, some goodies for eating, and a bit o’ the crowd, as well as our own NOEL DOUGLAS as a guest performer!! Noel sang a beautiful song called “High Like A Child”, and i thank him for sharing. We collectively are the fortunate recipients of many wonderful new friends and connections as a result of our working with the Spiritual Center. Special love and thanks to REV. KATHERINE HOPE for her beauty, support, and energy in helping put this thing on. I don’t have the numbers yet, but we gained economically from this venture as well...the donation baskets were well-visited, and we sold LOTS of raffle tickets!

ROB CLEMENT of the Ojai Valley News was there with his camera, so keep an eye out for that coverage in an upcoming issue!
