It occurs to me that open threads have been so popular in the past that you might want to consider an Ojai Forum where registered users can start their own discussions.
After going to the racket club to lift, and then going for a run on the bike path, I was thinking about how many students I know who are in better shape that I am, and who are seemingly being forced at Nordhoff to take P.E., (in addition to their voluntary participation in multiple varsity sports). The apparent reason? So that school counselors don’t need to monitor the students in order to make sure that they have enough P.E. credits to graduate.
Yes, it would be much better to use a forum. I recommend Vanilla (open-source and free). http://getvanilla.com/
thanks for the suggestions, Robert & LK – its on the list of improvements and development. i have a number of community-building ideas that i plan on implementing in the coming months. cheers.
Look forward to seeing what’s up your digital sleeve, Tyler.
Ojai Frostie was torn down – was anyone there? OVN has pics:

Wow, Ojai Frosty’s a pile of rubble. So that’s that.
What’s going on with me…well, wrapping up the calendar project and planning the announcement of the next one, producing Heidi Chronicles at the Ojai Art Center – still looking for a good actor to complete the cast and contemplating taking on 30 foreign exchange students for summer camp in July.
I’ll keep you posted
Are they all going to stay at your pad, Demitri?
No, I am recruiting host families. I’ll write a post about it once things are finalized.
I happened by when school
kids were walking by Frostie and yelling “where
we supposed to go now?”
which said it all. There
safe after school hangout
is no more, and city council took no steps to prevent it. So it goes…
Hey! I was just appointed to the Ojai Arts Commission!
congrats, Demitri! looking forward to having you report the OAC goings-on on the Post…
