I had such wonderful affirmations today of Ojai’s unique and special community, from Meditation Mount to Laurel Springs to Upper Ojai to Boccali’s. Everyday I’m thankful I live here.

Yes-many times over, which
is why a culture of
conservation,TOPA, has joined forces to work
to protect the valley from
being devalued. Water wars
are looming now with Golden
State getting company foothold, and bringing
model of exponential growth
and unbrideled greed. Please join us in keeping
watch and vigilance.
I moved here two months ago and my brother and I were just talking about how restful it seems here. We feel the corporate powers breathing their hot breath on this little soft valley and it scares us. We wonder how long it will take them to get ahold of it but hopefully it will take awhile. I don’t see that the roads could accommodate any great growth. Hopefully the powers that be can keep them away.
wow, creepy-cool. i was just going to start a thread asking what peoples’ favorite things are about our valley.
i think mine is the walkability of it. i can get almost everything i need within walking distance, which feels good to me and my planet.
New in town..What’s the best source of keeping abreast of what’s happening and coming up. I seem to hear about events after they’re over!
Hi Tina – just keep an eye on The Ojai Post and OjaiEvents.com…
Hey, did anyone catch Rob Clement’s post at the OVN (BEFORE THEY TOOK IT DOWN) about the demolition of Ojai Frostie? If I remember correctly, he talked about how he had tried numerous times (to no avail) to contact Polito about his thoughts on what was going on.
He also likened Polito to Dick Cheney (as in both of them have way too much power, are steering a course of destruction, and both couldn’t give a $^#*& about what the majority of people thought).
I thought it was right on – why would they pull that post? Any thoughts?
Does anyone know if there already are future plans for the site of the old Ojai Frostie and and Antique store?
