Isn't that a little extreme?
Bono is now a knight, Rove a rapper and Al Gore wins an Oscar. I know it's dark but there's always a dim light or two somewhere. Even Washington DC has it's fabulous cherry blossom bloom.
As I like to say "Whether the glass is half full or half empty depends on how much you have had to drink or whether there is a hole in the glass"

Comment #3 Posted by: Tom | March 31, 2007 01:43 PM
?Didn't they know that this would be all over the media?
I want everyone of those dancing to testify under oath as to what they thought they were doing. We need to get to the bottom of this so we can prevent a repeat.(I have to admit, I laughed. I really thought Rove was going to fall over, curses.)
Comment #4 Posted by: Dana and Alyeska-kg6amv@yahoo.com | March 31, 2007 01:52 PM
the Karl Rove rap was staged all the way .it was funny though . but the dolphin video was some of the most cruel actions i have ever seen to a live creature in all my life . i mean those dolphins were suffering badly and did not die quickly . cruel indeed .

I saw a guy who has been waiting for this moment since grade school where he never had the nerve or would have been kicked senseless if he tried to be 'cool'. It says more to me about the triumph of black culture. And by the way, who was that black man on stage?, where does he live?, and what the hell was he doing up there?
Comment #6 Posted by: pat allen | March 31, 2007 05:27 PM
good insight, pat.
i was thinking along those lines too...like this was a skit that seemed SO cool and SO funny when all those guys thought of it (while drunk, of course) but once they got onstage and started bobbing around, they all started to think "maybe this is actually the dumbest thing EVER. oh well, can't stop now..."
Millennium, i find that i need your help again. can you draw for me the connection between Karl Rove and dolphin slaughter?
Comment #7 Posted by: evan | March 31, 2007 05:43 PM
I cried and cried after I watched the whole movie. In fact I did show it to
my children so that they could see what humans were doing to dolphins.
Something should be done about this, but what and how? If you have not seen
t his movie, then I urge you and your family to sit down and watch it, it is
horrific to see what they do to purely innocent animals. I can tell you that
no eye is dry tonight in this family. And I cannot repeat what my children
said about who was doing this to the dolphins.
Although I did not enjoy it, I do think all people should see this so that they can wake up and smell the coffee. When will humans learn???
Comment #8 Posted by: AmonMaat | March 31, 2007 05:50 PM
aho brother Evan!
who is Karl Rove?
and why did they make this parody about animal murder,
white supremecy, slander of blacks?
looks like some Washington political fundraiser?

i'm still purposefully not watching that video, but i was suddenly impressed to think that if dolphins were humans, they would have kicked our asses a loooong time ago. ever see (or better yet, READ) Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? if the poor dears could leave, i think they would.
brother Twain!
perhaps i see a connection...the "joke" that's not a joke about Rove enjoying the torture (specifically, the beheading) of small animals? hints at a larger cultural disease where that's okay, even funny?
great clip, Brian...that was actually pretty funny. he almost seems relaxed.
Comment #11 Posted by: evan | March 31, 2007 11:33 PM
from Australia -.- I was shocked, appalled and truly disgusted when i saw these videos. The dolphin killings bring me to tears. I cant believe how people can be so inhumane and emotionless. The dolphins are slaughtered. This is so depressing, especially when dolphins are such loving and beautiful creatures.

cruel, sick, perverse indeed Scott ... yet it is there because we desire it ... that the war may continue.
AmonMaat, terrible violence that we visit upon our children ... for our comforts of feigned ignorance and (true) servitude ...
aye, Athena, truly gross these our lives ...

Japan now kills over 20,000 dolphins and small whales annually, and most of them wind up in meat markets. The dirty secret of the slaughter, however, is that the international aquarium industry subsidizes these massacres by paying upwards of US$45,000 for hunts for prime live specimens for aquariums, dolphin-shows and swim-with-dolphins programs.

Adding insult to injury... is this debacle of stupidity. Where are the ACLU and others when our govt. cronies act like complete racist asses? Viewing something like this after researching the history of the Federal Reserve (Wake up America - we've been sold out! ) makes me want to march on Washington and drag those idiot politicians from behind their desks into the street. Pathetic.

I don’t do sad animal viewings. I’m okay with watching a human get blown to pieces, and I especially love the most graphic programs on Discovery Health but if I have to watch an animal get a splinter, I get a little watery-eyed. I’m such a softie. I’ll just sign the petition minus the video and assume I get what’s going on.

Our dolphin slaughter is horrid. It makes me chagrined. I do eat meat... but I would not be surprised to learn that dolphins are more intelligent (maybe more spiritual) than us bloodthirsty humans. Of course I'd never eat a dolphin or support any part (knowingly) of the practice.
Comment #24 Posted by: Don | April 2, 2007 09:28 PM
I am really pissed at what is going on in Japan with the slaughter of these beautiful animals. Dolphins are the smartest animal I have ever met. They are fun loving and kind animals. It absolutly breaks my heart into a million peices to see that kind of brutality commited against such a innocennt precious animal.
I need to be able to help stop this massacre. What can I do to stop these maniacs? It brings tears to my eyes when I think about the upcoming Dolphin hunt. And that there is not going to be anyone there to stop these butchers. I think if these fishermen knew how pissed off I am they would think twice before killing Dolphins. Please let me know how I can help.

how did we go from "Doing the Rove" to a dolphin massacre?
Comment #31 Posted by: Anonymous | April 4, 2007 08:39 AM
sorry you could not view the Rove video!
they composed and sang a Washington DC rapsong to broadcast their drunken fun of beheading animals, of this being their right "white" morality, and of black and nonwhite cultures being mere monkeys, more animals for their mindless slaughter.
Comment #32 Posted by: Millennium Twain | April 4, 2007 09:16 AM

Comment #36 Posted by: Athena | April 4, 2007 07:27 PM
What if? At the age of 12 your 3rd eye opened wide, and what you saw were all the thoughts of all the people going and gathering in a place of like thoughts. And what if you saw that everyone who incarnated onto this planet Earth did so to manifest the collective thoughts of the peoples?
What would you do if you spent a lifetime of seeing this way? How would you tell the people this world is your creation, its blueprints drawn up from the thoughts you think?
There was a great and noble man. He saw these dolphins being killed this way, and he yelled so loud that 3 echoes were seen coming through my mountain range as he yelled to me, “Maureen, why am I now crying?
With 12 Deers I make hasty medicine to calm him down while I look deep into the collective thoughts to see which thoughts have created this horrendous dolphin slaughter dance.
In our sleep we have been careless with our remembering how powerful our thoughts are as creators… We got lost.. we all did… not just them who did the dolphin slaughter dance. This world is our creation, a reflection of what we are thinking.
Passing through the energy of the dolphin slaughter dance, I see that at its core is the belief that those who carry the dolphin energy.. are a delicacy.. that are to be sold.. to those with the money.. for a profit.. yet mindless of the thought of how they commit the slaughter.
We have all participated, one way or another or we would not be seeing this picture in our creation. We have been mindless in the fact that we think it okay to sell that which is sacred as a delicacy to those who we believe are richer than others.
We have taken what we have seen as a world of opposites, set up a barrier, determined that one has more value than the other. From that point forward we have been creating a world of chaos, a world in which traveling through time we find ourselves standing in front of a blood bath of dolphins swimming without their heads, while mindless humans dance a dolphin slaughter dance.
This the world of our creation.. our thoughts going forth created this.
I apologize for my place in this creation. I apologize for any place in my creation process where I have thought one has more value then another… I apologize for where my thoughts has created this dolphin slaughter dance..
All my love,
Misty Mountain
~ freely translated, the mountain who wept when she saw her brother weeping.. always.. My brother is Indian..
