OJAI MOUNTAIN BEARS

This picture is courtesy of MB. It was taken on 12/7/06.
"WHAT IS IT LIKE BEING AN OJAI MOUNTAIN BEAR?" asks the pet psychic.
One answers, "We dont know what it is like living anywhere else, but I can tell you there is plenty of food and safe places to sleep. Our mom is teaching us about dangerous humans but we think they smell sweet. There is a woman we watch often. She moves like a graceful bird. She also talks to the trees like we do."
They are talking about an older woman who lives in an oak forest.
ARE THERE BEARS WATCHING YOU?

To me, it is very intersting how you know what one of the bears is thinking and you didn't even take the photo. Let me guess, you met them before? After? Or were you there when the photos were taken? Do tell.

whoaa ...
more amazing bear photos, Laura!
I asked some other 'Awha'y denizens today about the colours of bears in the Valley ... Kelly Pasco saw a big black bear on the road at the top of Sulphur Mountain last autumn ... definitely black.
Robie Klein says, however, that all of the bears he has seen up at the top of Foothill Road have been brown.
and Megumi and I are definitely looking forward to seeing our first brown or black bears, here in the Valley of the Goddess Moon.

It's always exciting to see bears near home.I've seen several in Matilija since I've lived there. Also a bit saddening that not to many years ago before the Matilija dam went up there were hundreds of the bear in the canyon feating on fish. The sign at Matilja Hot Springs even mentions the grand fishing and and (yuck) bear hunting that attracted so many visitors.

old crow,
The woman’s son took this photo.
I have not actually seen these three cubs, but I have heard them playing in the woods near by. These little ones are very curious of humans. I am fortunate enough to share my life with a wolf-hybrid. She hurries us through the woods and to the car when these cubs and mountain lions are paying too much attention to us. I do not feel safe enough to hang around when the cubs are close. I trust Maia’s (my wolf dog) instincts. We have encountered other bears in these woods that are non-threatening.
As you may know, telepathy works from any distance. I was not far from them when this communication took place. Though I could have been miles away and received the same message.

So, if telepathy works from any distance and someone in Arkansas has a possum living under there porch and they want it to move out, can you communicate with the possum from Ojai and tell it that it needs to live elsewhere.

Hey Old Crow,
Did you know...Opossums are the only North American marsupials? A marsupial is an animal with a pouch, like a kangaroo.
Some quick facts for your friend in Arkansas:
Opossums share many things in common with us humans and our relatives (primates). They have opposable thumbs on their hind feet which help them to grip branches and climb. They are the only non-primates with opposable thumbs. Wow!
They are opportunistic feeders and can utilize many of the scraps people throw away, thus they are often found raiding pet food dishes and garbage cans (this reminds me of our local hobo Stewart on a drunken afternoon).
Here's the thing though and take this lightly, Old Crow:
Opossums didn't evolve complicated conscious brains like us humans. They rely mostly on instinct and scent. Therefore, their minds (unfortunately) can't be read. Modern science (the very construct that makes everything we do today possible) says NO to pet telepathy.
So, my friend, I must ask you... how can you rely heavily on this scientific construct in your every day life and then at the same time, be willing to call up a pet psychic to do your dirty work?
Tell your friend in Arkansas to keep the lid on his trash can and if that doesn't work, pull out the 4-10.
Best of luck,

Yes old crow,
An animal communicator can tell the opossum he must live elsewhere. It is important that we locate and communicate with the right opossum. It would not be unusual for a situation to come up like this in my business. Mostly they would move, though just like us they have free will.
Did you know that there are animal communicators all over the world that are locating lost pets? It not what I choose to specialize in, but other communicators have a high success rates.

Maybe we can convince the bears to chase the graffiti freaks and gangbangers out of beautiful Ojai, while there's still time. If we have any voice in choosing our "wildlife", I vote for bears and mountain lions.
